Matthew 6:13 NKJ
“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.”
When it comes to temptation, God will not remove it from us. He will
refine us in it.
James 1:13 NLT
And remember, when you are tempted, do not say, “God is tempting
me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone
else.
James 1:14-15 NLT
Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us
away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is
allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
What is Temptation?

  1. Temptation is a test of our desires.
    1 John 2:15-16 NKJ
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the
world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—
the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not
of the Father but is of the world.
  2. Temptation is a test of our pride.
    Mark 14:37-38 NKJ
Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon,
are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? Watch and pray,
lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh
    is weak.”
    1 Corinthians 10:12-13 NLT
If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The
temptations in your life are no different from what others experience.
And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than
you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so
    that you can endure.
    1 Peter 5:8-9 NLT
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls
around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm
against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family
of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of
    suffering you are.
When it comes to temptation, God will not remove it from us. He will
    refine us in it.
  3. Temptation is a test of our faith.
    Hebrews 4:15 NKJ
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our
weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
    Matthew 6:13 NKJ
“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
    Amen.”
When it comes to temptation, God will not remove it from us. He will
    refine us in it.
    Ephesians 6:10-18 NLT
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all
of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all
strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood
enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,
against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the
heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so
you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the
battle you will be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt
of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put
on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully
prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop
the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at
all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your
    prayers for all believers everywhere.
