Psalm 49:16-20 NIV
Do not be overawed when others grow rich, when the splendor of
their houses increases; for they will take nothing with them when they
die, their splendor will not descend with them. Though while they live
they count themselves blessed—and people praise you when you
prosper—they will join those who have gone before them, who will
never again see the light of life. People who have wealth but lack
understanding are like the beasts that perish.
1 Chronicles 29:12-14 NLT
“Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything.
Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are
made great and given strength. O our God, we thank you and praise
your glorious name! But who am I, and who are my people, that we
could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you,
and we give you only what you first gave us!”
5 Reasons Why I Give:

  1. I give because I want to demonstrate a THANKFUL HEART to God
    at all times.
    Proverbs 4:23 NIV
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
    Matthew 6:21 NKJ
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

2 Groups of People:

  1. Givers
  2. Takers
  1. I give because I want to have a SURRENDERED HEART before
    God.
    Acts 20:35 NKJ
“’It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
    Matthew 6:19-21 NKJ
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust
destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys
and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure
is, there your heart will be also.”
  2. I give because I want to position myself and my family for God’s
    BLESSINGS and PROTECTION.
    Malachi 3:8-11 MSG
“Begin by being honest. Do honest people rob God? But you rob me
day after day. You ask, ‘How have we robbed you?’ The tithe and the
offering—that’s how! And now you’re under a curse—the whole lot of
you—because you’re robbing me. Bring your full tithe to the Temple
treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in
this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out
blessings beyond your wildest dreams. For my part, I will defend you
against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens
against plunderers.” The Message of God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
  3. I give because I really believe in the VISION OF OUR CHURCH.
    Our Acts 1:8 Vision:
    • Building Families
    • Transforming Communities
    • Reconciling Cultures
    • Impacting Nations
  4. I give because someday I want to hear God say to me, “WELL
    DONE!”
    Matthew 25:21 NKJ
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were
faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.
Enter into the joy of your lord.’”
