pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took
of its fruit and ate…
Proverbs 14:12 NKJ
There is a way that seems right (good) to a man, but its end is the
way of death.
James 1:16-17 NKJ
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every
perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights,
with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
James’ words simplified:
“There is nothing good for you outside of God.”
2 Timothy 3:16 NLT
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true
(good) and to make us realize what is wrong (bad) in our lives. It
corrects us when we are wrong (bad) and teaches us to do what is
right (good).
Proverbs 12:1 NKJV
…he who hates correction is stupid.

We must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may
drift away from it.
Romans 12:2 NKJ
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God.
Hebrews 12:14 NKJ
Pursue…holiness, without which no one will see the Lord…
Pursue (def): “Chase after with the intent to apprehend.”
Ephesians 1:4 NKJ
…He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we
should be holy and without blame before Him…
1 Peter 1:14-15 AMPC
[Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to
the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when
you did not know the requirements of the Gospel]. But as the One
Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your
conduct and manner of living.
Hebrews 12:14-15 NKJ
Pursue…holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking

grace, by which we may serve God acceptably…
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NLT
Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom
of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or
who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or
practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or
drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people – none of these will inherit
the Kingdom of God.
