Luke 2:8-14 NKJ
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields,
keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the
Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around
them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do
not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which
will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of
David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to
you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a
manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Luke 2:25-35 NKJ
And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was
Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the
Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had
been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death
before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So he came by the Spirit into
the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do
for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his
arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your
servant depart in peace, according to Your word; for my eyes have
seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all
peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of
Your people Israel.” And Joseph and His mother marveled at those
things which were spoken of Him. Then Simeon blessed them, and
said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall
and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken
against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the
thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
3 Major Revelations of the Birth of Christ:

  1. God is with us.
    Matthew 1:23 NKJ
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall
call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, ”GOD WITH US.”
    John 1:14 MSG
The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the
neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind
glory, like Father, like Son, generous inside and out, true from start to
    finish.
  2. God is for you.
    John 3:16-17 NKJ
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.”
    Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
    future.”
    Romans 8:31 NKJ
What then shall we say to these things? IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO
    CAN BE AGAINST US?
  3. God is in you.
    John 14:19-23 NKJ
“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will
see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know
that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My
commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who
loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest
Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that
You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus
answered and said to him, “IF ANYONE LOVES ME, HE WILL KEEP
MY WORD; AND MY FATHER WILL LOVE HIM, AND WE WILL
COME TO HIM AND MAKE OUR HOME WITH HIM.”
    1 John 4:4 NKJ
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He
who is IN YOU is greater than he who is in the world.
